Back To School Night!
Key school started Back to School Night outside in the yard. Representative Fiedler of the Pennsylvania House spoke to our families about the new school yard. We’re getting the school yard ready!
This Saturday families came together to help community members and the Philadelphia Horticultural Society’s Tree Program get a space ready to plant trees. Everyone was busy filling in the area near the black fence with a layer of dirt and mulch. The trees will be planted in November.

Kindergaren Moves Up – Congratulations!
Our Kindergarten “Class of 2022” celebrated their “Move-Up” Day in front of the school with parents, family members, and community in attendance. It was a very hot day, but that did not stop everyone from celebrating our rising new 1st graders. Just 5 more years, Kindergarten, until you become the 6th grade “Class of 2028”!
Spirit Day is back in the Key School yard!

This spring, many of our 6th grade students particpated in the “BarrioEdProject” with Dr. Edwin Mayorga and his students from Swarthmore College. Girls on the Run
Some of our 5th and 6th grade girls along with their teachers, moms, and Principal Cheung participated in the winter 5K for “Girls on the Run” at the Navy yard. It was not only a lot of fun, but the wibter day was crisp and beautiful. Way to go, girls on the run!

Mexican food fall fundraiser
Hundreds of families and neighbors showed up for a fundraiser organized by our Bilingual Counseling Assistant, Mr. Luis Oquendo and several families.
