Once again our 4th graders had a terrific time enjoying opera. This year’s opera performance was “La Boheme,” a love story, in reverse. Flashbacks tell the story that result in a tragic end of the story between Mimì and Rodolfo. This popular opera reminds us that while nothing lasts forever, we are lucky to love and be loved. The trip was made possible through Opera Philadelphia’s “Sounds of Learning Dress Rehearsa Program.” This free program for 5th through 12th grades includes student and teacher resources, creating a space for students to engage with this art form and participate in meaningful conversations.
