Second graders celebrated Hispanic Heritage month with their teachers playing “Loteria.” Loteria is a game like Bingo. It is mostly played in Mexico but it is also played in other countries in Latin America. Players use a board (called a “tabla”) to locate the words with the images that the caller calls out. Since the words are in Spanish, students had so much fun learning new words with the pictures attached to them!
