Some of our 4th and 5th grade students presented their “Need in Deed” projects at a special event called the “Need in Deed Shout Out.” Students who participate in Need in Deed choose a social issue to study and spend the year doing service-learning projects.
- 5th grade students who work with Ms. Darken presented on interpersonal relationships.
- 4th grade students who work with Mrs. Washington presented on plastic pollution on land and in water.
- 5th grade students from Ms. Yau’s class (Room 24) presented on anti-bullying.
Each group received a special award! Ms. Darken’s group and Ms. Yau’s class received the “Thoughtful Reflection” award. Mrs. Washington’s group received the “Student Voice” award.
